the thing about tumblr…

I have no idea when I lose followers. I rarely ever check the number. My followers matter to me but if you don’t wanna follow it’s cool. My self esteem will remain intact. This blog is for me. You’re bonus.
Over time I’ve realised that it’s more important to me if I have a small group of people that I have some sort of interaction with than a ton of followers that I never speak to.
I’ve gotten better at interacting with people here and being less intimidated by people who are popular and/or very opinionated/outspoken/aggressive.
It still psyches me out when someone I would consider tumblr famous follows me first.
I often wonder how I come off here… Do I seem nice? Smart? Cool? An asshole?
There are some people on tumblr that plain intimidate me for whatever reason and I stopped following them because I could never get the balls to say anything to them.
It made wonder if anyone ever felt that way about me (I doubt that).
That said, I really appreciate everyone who has made the effort to reach out to me, heart my stuff, and comment of my posts. When I was new to tumblr it felt like high school and I was the new kid, so for anyone who took the first step, I just want to say thanks.
Gary, trinilikesalt (my maker), was that popular guy in school who introduced me to all the right people. Special thanks to him for paving the way. I met a lot of awesome people. Which makes sense. Cause Gary’s awesome.
