I’ve been hanging out a lot with one of my exes lately. He’s here visiting for Carnival. We had an on/off relationship a few years back (four? five?) but have maintained a really good friendship.

I had a real bess j’ouvert. It will most likely be my last for a couple of years so I’m glad I spent it with my best friends.

I have been here over a year and still feel hesitant on commenting.
Me too. For me it was just fear… of rejection, being ignored, having someone be mean to me. But in all honesty I’ve never had anyone be anything but nice to me here, not even a mean anon. So I’ve started to be a bit more brave.

Ok granted one flew into the country tonight. The other popped up on skype and hailed me out which is pretty normal for us. So maybe I’m making too much of a big deal about this.
But the other one? He never calls me. And he called me tonight. And he called me by that nickname that only he uses. And he asked me what I did on Valentine’s Day....

Just had a talk with my business partner, have two meetings lined up for tomorrow. He’s happy with the work I’ve done on our project so far, so I can relax for now.
